Veterinary Care for Cats is Important

Cats are masters of disguise when it comes to hiding illnesses or pain.

Signs that your cat is not feeling well can be subtle.

A veterinarian is trained to look for signs of illnesses or pain, and is very important in your cat's life!

Veterinarian Trip

We can help you bring your cat to the veterinarian

Are you busy and want us to take care of your cat annual examination and vaccines administration? Visiting the veterinarian is stressful for you and you would like a professional to take care of it? Is kitty sick and you are not available for a trip to the veterinarian?

Whatever the reason, we want to help you and your cat!

$45.00 per veterinarian trip visit

If the service lasts more than 1 hour, we will charge $15.00 per additional hour.

A reason many people don’t bring their cat in for regular visits is that getting your cat to the vet isn’t always easy. Cats tend to dislike carriers, car trips, and unfamiliar places, making the whole event a bit stressful for all involved.

At NYC Cat Care Specialists, we are expert and can combat this by:

  • Helping your cat get used to the carrier
  • Utilizing pheromones products like Feliway to help your cat feel safe
  • Allowing your cat to come out of the carrier at her / his own pace and bringing along special toys or treats that your cat enjoys

Getting your cat in to see a veterinarian can be difficult, but with a little effort and planning, it does not need to be so stressful!

At NYC Cat Care Specialists, we want your best friend to have a healthy and happy life! Visiting the veterinarian is an important tool we have as cat lovers to help achieve that!

How does it work?

Veterinary Visit Form

Before we walk into the veterinary office, we would love to have some insight about your cat health and any symptoms displayed. Please help us by filling out the Veterinary Visit From emailed to you before the appointment time or emergency walk-in visit.

If your cat has never been to the veterinary office the appointment is, please prepare any previous medical records for us as well.

Cat Pick-up

We will come to your home to pick up the cat in need of a veterinary visit, place her / him in a safe and comfortable covered hard carrier and transport her / him to the veterinary practice of your choice.

Examination Time

We will be there, ready and on time for the appointment.  We will stay with your cat during the entire examination and we will communicate with the veterinarian about your cat health using the Veterinary Visit Form you filled out. We will be in contact with you regarding any further testing needed, and / or the prescription of medications for your cat, if recommended by the veterinarian.

Visit summary and treatment plan

We will send you an email summarizing your cat visit, and we will write the treatment plan prescribed by the veterinarian, so you will know what medications to give, how and when.

Cat drop off, and first dose of medication administration if needed

We will bring your cat back home, open the carrier and let kitty come out when she / he is ready. We will make sure your furry friend is adjusting well to returning home. If your cat was prescribed medications and if the veterinarian did not administer them yet, we will take care of it. We will make sure your cat gets the medicine she / he needs, administered as soon as possible, so she / he can start feeling better quickly.

If you need help to give your cat the prescribed medication, please check our Medicine Administration service and contact us.

We will team up with you and your veterinarian to make sure your cat gets the best health care!

All payments are due in full before service

If service lasts more than 1 hour, we will send you an invoice after service for payment of any additional hour.

All prices are subject to 8.875% New York Sales Tax

RESCUE DISCOUNT

We will gladly offer a 20% discount to rescue groups and foster homes that book our services.

Thank you for all you do to help cats and those who love them! We appreciate you!
